Happy Sunday, Creative Army!

Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.

First up, we're looking at one of the most challenging elements of storytelling that screenwriters and filmmakers face: theme. This intangible piece is the heart of any story, bleeding into the plot, the character's emotional arc, and the visual choices creatives make. In this video from StudioBinder, they're diving into all things theme, what it is, and five ways you can write theme into your script.

Next, this week saw another round of awards announcements. This time it was the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature, in addition to the previous ones it already earned (including the Annie Awards). There are often debates surrounding this category, whether or not it should be folded into the main characters and what qualifies as an "animated" film. But in this video, we're looking past the debates and just embracing the incredible artistry that Del Tor brought to this classic story.
