Coffee & Content: How Music Becomes An Actor In Film

Coffee & Content: How Music Becomes An Actor In Film

Happy Sunday, Creative Army!
Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.
It's Oscar weekend so there has been a pile of great content coming up online, and one of the best pieces came from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's interview with Steven Spielberg and John Williams. They've been collaborating for decades and it shows in their interactions. Williams has created numerous of the most recognizable movie scores of all time, and in this interview, you'll see how his perspective on how scores are used creates an atmosphere that's as complex and interesting as any character.
Next up, Oscar nominees Ruben Östlund and Sarah Polley who created two of the most unique stories of the past year in wildly different ways discuss their process and approach to character-driven writing, as well as what excites them the most about their newest film projects.
Finally, the infamous screenwriter Charlie Kaufman recently received the WGAW Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement and gave an epic speech, exciting writers and WGA members about the upcoming contract talks. It's a must-see for all writers.
As always, here at Stage 32, we love to share stories and knowledge with our fellow film fans. Know someone who would love this content? Share it with them! Tag them below!
