Coffee & Content: How Music Can Change a Scene & How Good Filmmaking Brings a Script to Life

Happy Sunday Creative Army!

I've got my coffee in hand and your weekly dose of content coming in hot - grab your coffee of choice and let's dive right in.

First up, Netflix UK & Ireland shares a video that beautifully depicts the relationship music has with characters and story. In this video, Emmy-nominated composer Martin Phipps walks you through his creative process in scoring Charles and Diana's pre-wedding scene in The Crown.

Next up, Lessons from a Screenplay has a compelling video illustrating how good filmmaking brings a script to life (and vis versa). In this particular video, they breakdown a scene from the mid-point of Portrait of a Lady on Fire, written and directed by Celine Sciamma. In this case, since Celine was the writer and director, she had the opportunity to write the script in a uniquely specific way, directing camera movements and blocking within the script itself.
