Happy Sunday, Creative Army!

By looking a these films side by side, we can see how filming techniques have evolved over decades. But just because certain styles aren't used as much by filmmakers today, doesn't mean that shouldn't be used at all! Get inspired and see how, when, and why certain "old school" techniques can actually elevate your story.

Next, in this video from LA Times, actresses from some of the year's most well-known performances come together for a roundtable discussion with journalist Amy Kaufman to talk about their roles and what an incredible year for film 2023 has been. The group includes Fantasia Barrino (THE COLOR PURPLE), Emily Blunt (OPPENHEIMER), America Ferrera (BARBIE), Eve Hewson (FLORA AND SON), Sandra Hüller (ANATOMY OF A FALL, ZONE OF INTEREST), and Julianne Moore (MAY DECEMBER).
