Congratulations to Stage 32 Members for All Their Success in 2022!

Congratulations to Stage 32 Members for All Their Success in 2022!

Creatives like us often have the hardest time celebrating themselves. As I was looking back over posts from the past year, I was overwhelmed not just with the successes on the platform – but with how many of the successes came from you.
You didn’t just sit back and wait for success to find you. You went out and created it for yourselves. Nowhere is that more apparent than in the successes highlighted below.
Job Listings
For starters, this is not a platform for just screenwriters. Many of you have found work through the job listings on this site and put yourself out there. We see this repeatedly as writers find work as pitch deck creators, graphic designers, editors, and even entire projects casting actors through the site. You’re not afraid to put yourselves out there, and for that fearlessness, you find the rewards.
Pitching, Mentoring, and Contests
Stage 32 is well-known for the writers that have been launched here. But those wins happen because of the work you writers put into honing your craft and not being afraid to put yourself out there in front of entertainment executives.
Countless creators have connected with executives, ultimately teaming up to take a project out for pitching to studios, landing options or shopping agreements, or landing representation. Not to mention the successes from Stage 32 contests.
Education
Those of you who have attended Webinars, Classes, and Labs on Stage 32 know how valuable they can be for forging your own path as we “democratize the industry,” as CEO Richard Botto often says.
Just this year, after working one-on-one with Alexia Melocchi in a pitching lab, a Stage 32 writer attended the American Film Market and successfully pitched and connected with multiple executives. Another writer used Stage 32 Education to create their own DIY Film School and combined it with mentoring to improve their craft, and is now in production on their project.
Community
I shouldn’t have favorites, but what blows me away every day is how the massive community on Stage 32 comes together to get their projects made, networking and bonding with equally passionate individuals.
Most recently, some members joined forces to create their own animated short film. This wasn’t the first animated project to come through Stage 32 this year. Another animator and filmmaker collaborated on an animated television show earlier this year. Members have also put multiple projects into development, found speaking gigs, and produced projects all through the connections they’ve made on the platform.
Looking to 2023
These stories are just scratching the surface of all that you’ve accomplished in the past year, and it’s clear there are plenty more coming. I can’t wait to see what you all create in 2023.
Let me know what you accomplished in 2022 and what your goals are in the new year!
