Greetings! My name is Katherine Arifin. I’m 28 years old. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. Have you ever been to Indonesia? If you haven't and are planning a trip, you should absolutely contact me here on Stage 32.

Have you ever heard of Komodo dragons? Well, there is an island called Komodo Island and it is where you can find my small hometown. I always dreamed of moving to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, to work and live. The idea of going anywhere else seemed unrealistic, so moving to Jakarta was my biggest dream.

In 2012, I came to Jakarta and studied at Christian Krida Wacana University. While I received a Bachelor of Psychology, I fell in love with art while in college and self-taught myself graphic design. After graduating from college, I worked in several companies while doing freelance work. Since I live alone and have lost both my parents, I have to work hard to support myself. This became difficult during the pandemic as many companies cut employees, and I ultimately lost work.

From then on, I began working solely as a freelance graphic designer. With my talents, I was able to build up an international client list. I never thought that I would get this job. I just come from a small town in Indonesia. But now I get jobs and friends from different countries!

I continue to work solely as a freelance graphic designer because I’m looking for freedom and flexibility in remote work, I can improve my English proficiency, and I want to make more friends from different countries. So even though I'm a freelancer, I can grow with more experience and networking.

Then, I discovered Stage 32 through social media. I didn't know much about the platform and am still learning, but I'm very grateful to join this community. Soon after joining, I felt a warm welcome and a positive vibe in this community. I continue to get more friends here who support each other.

I also get some clients from this community! Even though we never met but they trusted me to do some designs for their company. This community helps me connect with people from different countries.

At first, I thought to make a lot of friends without thinking about work, so I added people on Stage32. I post some information about myself and shared my work. Then, some people messaged me on Stage 32 and asked me to do some design work. They were happy with my work and have since asked me to work with them for the long term on projects.

In my work, I create designs for digital prints like banners, flyers, posters, magazines, books, Youtube, podcasts, business cards, brochures, catalogs, booklets, menus, postcards, invitations, infographics, eCommerce product image editing, social media, etc.

My successful busy clients' use my services to create creative designs for their companies and save their valuable time and money. I do my best for each of my clients with 100% client satisfaction. I can do it only for 24 hours with unlimited revision. I fast respond to every client request including public holidays.

With as much success as I've had and the many goals I've achieved, I still never stop dreaming. I have bigger dreams. I want to help young people in Indonesia, especially in my hometown. I want them to develop their talents in any field such as design, dancing, singing, filmmaking, technology, and others. I hope that Indonesia can produce these talents and create great works of art. I will continue to work and make bigger things in the future.
