In February of 2011, we went live with the first iteration of Stage 32. For me personally, this was the culmination of 3 years of plotting, planning, executing, and, ultimately, fully forming and realizing an embryonic idea that had been living in my head and keeping me awake at night. As you might imagine, it was an exciting moment.

Still, I didn’t know how people would take to the idea. From a business standpoint, I had done it backwards. Normally, you take (what you believe to be) your fabulous idea to trusted confidantes and take their temperature. If the response is overwhelmingly positive, perhaps you go to investors.

Instead, I decided to bootstrap the entire enterprise myself. And only then did I go to 100 of my closest confidantes in the industry and show them what I built. I went to them with almost exactly the same message that still exists for all new members of Stage 32 today – I’m a creative and professional in entertainment just like you. And just like you, I know that community, especially in this business, is everything. I want this platform to be a dream factory. But to build it, I need you to take ownership. I need you to invite at least 5 fellow creatives and pros from your network. HelpHe me build this community and we will all thrive.

By November of 2011, off of only this messaging and the collaborative spirit of those I invited, we were already 5,000 strong. We moved out of beta and began to spread the word far and wide.

Today, 10 years later, we’re closing in on nearly a million members in the Stage 32 community from every country on Earth, sport the largest industry education library in the world, work with over 3,000 executives worldwide, and have dozens of exclusive partnerships with organizations and brands such as Netflix, Cannes, the American Film Market and many, many more.

And it’s all because of you.

It’s the the community that makes this whole thing spin. It’s the the community that has been active in helping tens of thousands of projects get off the ground. It’s the the community that lifts each other up, gives each other the support we need as creatives, and initiates opportunities you can’t find anywhere else. For that, and so much more, on behalf of the entire Stage 32 staff, I thank you.

And now I’m asking you to celebrate with us, as one…one community…in celebrating our 10-year anniversary.

Over the next 12 months, we have a plethora of new features, opportunities, changes, and other surprises in store for you, the most uniquely creative community on the planet. Some will be obvious, some will be subtle, some will even be based off of decisions we all make together.

ALL will be geared toward one common goal: Helping you and every single person active on this platform find success.

This has been our goal from Day One. This will continue to be our goal going forward.

So let me begin the festivities by welcoming you to download our very new Stage 32 app for iOS. This is an extremely user friendly, feature rich app that will help you greatly with your networking, craft, and educational needs.

We also will be highlighting some of your successes, sharing the stories you’ve shared with us, and shining a light on so many members of the community that have made the journey so inspiring, enlightening, and uplifting.
