Stage 32 Certification and Uganda International Trade Centre Partner for the 2nd Season of 'Opportunities Are Here'

Stage 32 Certification and Uganda International Trade Centre Partner for the 2nd Season of 'Opportunities Are Here'

Film production is expanding rapidly around the globe. That is why at The International Trade Centre (ITC) we created a career acceleration program in the format of a television show for emerging filmmakers called ‘Opportunities Are Here’ (OAH).
Africa is bursting with creativity and potential, especially in the media and the arts. ‘Opportunities Are Here’ is designed to find the best young talent, and give them visibility, industry experience, and access to world-class expertise.
After a successful first season of OAH in Uganda, season 2 is underway! This season we are thrilled to partner with Stage 32 Certification to provide the highest level of professional training for our show’s participants.
Through ‘Opportunities Are Here’ young people show off their talents and compete for the attention of expert judges. Participation is free and open to all Ugandan citizens and residents between the ages of 18 and 35 interested in developing a career in the film industry. Creative professionals hunt for hidden talent, screening all applications for drive and dedication, and choosing the most promising to appear on the show.
The show helps young creatives develop their talent, acquire skills to further their own careers, and to set up a business employing other talented women and men. The skills are both technical, depending on the role individual young people aspire to, and managerial, to ensure their career or business is viable and rewarding.
We are excited about the potential of the Ugandan film industry, with its strong talent and capacity for original storytelling. Our partnership with Stage 32 Certification provides direct access to top industry professionals and expertise, giving a launchpad for OAH filmmakers to kickstart their careers in film production.
By completing a Stage 32 Certification course, OAH participants will gain valuable skills as well as the opportunity to be listed in a global database of filmmakers. Stage 32 members will have a unique opportunity to discover and collaborate with emerging local talent. At ITC we are looking forward to seeing how partnering with Stage 32 will lead to exciting opportunities for co-productions, talent exchanges, and innovative partnerships within the film industry.
