2-Part Class: Cinematographers – How to Prepare & What to Expect on Set

Starting: February 9th

Instructor: Carmen Cabana

Whether you're an aspiring or seasoned cinematographer, this two-part class will help you understand how to prepare for a shoot and navigate the fast-paced on-set environment.

Led by acclaimed cinematographer Carmen Cabana (Narcos, Ms. Marvel, The Big Cigar), this class is a must for aspiring and experienced cinematographers. Carmen will guide you through pre-production essentials, navigating on-set challenges, and collaborating effectively with your crew. You’ll walk away with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create stunning visuals while avoiding costly mistakes.

Missteps on set can cost you time, money, and even future opportunities. Not fully understanding your responsibilities, failing to communicate effectively, or being unprepared can hinder not only your success but the success of the entire production. 8-Part Screenwriting Lab: Rewrite Your TV Series Pilot Script

Starting: February 8th

Instructor: Anna Henry

Refine and elevate your TV series pilot in this comprehensive lab that will guide you through rewriting your script with feedback from an industry professional.

This hands-on lab is for TV writers who are ready to rewrite their pilots and make them pitch-ready. Guided by Anna Henry, a producer and development executive with credits at AMC, Amazon Prime, Starz, HBO, Sony, Fox, EOne, ITV America, and OddLot Entertainment, among others. She’s worked at CBS, ABC, Nickelodeon, and multiple production companies, as well as in management at Andrea Simon Entertainment. In this lab, you’ll receive personalized feedback from Anna to elevate your pilot and make it market-ready. Through 8 interactive sessions, Anna will help you identify problem areas, address feedback, and polish your script to perfection.

8-Week Screenwriting Lab: Write a Drama TV Pilot From Concept to Completed Script

Starting: February 22nd

Instructor: Spencer Robinson

Over the course of eight weeks, you’ll develop and complete a drama TV pilot script, guided by a seasoned industry professional. You will leave this lab with a completed television drama pilot script vetted by an industry professional that you can share with the marketplace to help move your career forward!

Ready to create your calling card for the TV industry? In this 8-week lab, Spencer Robinson, a literary and talent manager at Art/Work Entertainment, will mentor you as you write a market-ready drama TV pilot. Spencer's writing clients work in both features and television on broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. He currently has a client writing on two Netflix series and another client who just sold a show to Amazon. He also reps a writer who currently has a project at Jason Bateman's Aggregate Films, which has a deal at Netflix. His on-camera clients have been in films with directors Quentin Tarantino, Steven Soderbergh, Clint Eastwood, Gore Verbinski and more. In the TV world, his clients have been regular cast members on shows for Netflix, The CW, Cinemax, CBS, NBC, FX, Starz, Nickelodeon, EPIX, and TBS, to name a few.

He’ll guide you step-by-step from concept to completed script. Whether you're starting from scratch or revising a draft, this lab will help you create a pilot that stands out. Spencer will be working directly with you in a virtual class setting and in one-on-one sessions to mentor you as you write your market-ready dramatic pilot script. Spencer will guide you through picking a concept, creating engaging characters, perfecting your structure, constructing an outline, and, writing your pilot. Over these interactive sessions, you will put pen to paper and write the drama TV pilot that until now has only been bouncing around in your head.
