Video, which means "to see," is the visual or pictured image (either projected, taped, etc.), as opposed to the audio aspect of film. Video also refers to the visual component of television; digital video refers to a video signal represented by a series of binary numbers that are readable by computer. Compare with "analog video." Also known as "vid" for short.
