Announcing The 1st Annual Ultimate Logline Contest

Hey, Creative Army! Stage 32's Logline Contest isn't just BACK, it's BIGGER and BETTER than ever with the 1st Annual Stage 32 Ultimate Logline Contest!
Every major player in Hollywood routinely hears hundreds of ideas and makes quick decisions based on loglines. This single sentence dictates the uniqueness of the project, shows the bones of your story’s structure, and both your “vision” and “voice” as a writer. You need to boil down your entire narrative, your protagonist’s journey, the obstacles, and the stakes all into a single sentence.
And if after hearing your logline, an industry professional says, “I'd watch that!”, it is perhaps the best compliment a writer can receive.
Would your logline overtake the competition? Let’s find out!
If you haven't seen the format before, we ask you to submit a logline themed alongside a Stage 32 Screenwriting Contest and we give prizes to the top one. This year, we're taking it up a notch.
Every month, we're going to have a different logline contest. The TOP 3 loglines for that contest will win a FREE contest entry. But just because you didn't win doesn't mean it's over... With every contest, we'll take the TOP FIVE loglines and enter them into our Ultimate Logline Contest. At the end of the year, we'll choose one logline to top them all, and that writer will receive a GRAND PRIZE FREE MENTORING SESSION through Stage 32 with the executive of their choice.
How do you enter?
Follow Stage 32 on Instagram @stage32 and @stage32scripts, and on X (formerly Twitter) @stage32 and @stage32scripts. Whenever a new logline contest launches we'll share the link to the submission form on social. You can also bookmark this page and scroll to the bottom to find the latest monthly submission link.
Don't forget!
You are only allowed ONE entry per monthly contest, so make sure you pick your strongest one for that contest theme. You might only get one shot at winning per monthly contest BUT every time you're in the top three you're entered in the Ultimate Logline Contest at the end of the year. Therefore, you could have MULTIPLE entries in the end-of-the-year contest, raising your odds of winning a free mentoring session with a seasoned industry professional.

Just how impactful was our first logline contest?
It ended up getting a writer signed! Zach Tirone has his logline selected by prolific manager Andrew Wilson of Wonder Street Entertainment during our contest! That selection led to a consultation call between Zach and Andrew - and Andrew later signed Zach to representation!
“This happened because of Stage 32. Had I not been one of the winners of the Stage 32 logline contest, in which Andrew selected one of my scripts, he would not have been so clearly on my radar. This led to a consultation call with him about one of my true crime TV pilots, “The Westies”. Andrew very graciously responded to my writing and after some discussion, he offered to sign me as a client. We are now working on putting together The Westies as a Wonder Street project!"
